CM Revanth Reddy's 6-Day District Tour to Boost Congress for Panchayat Polls
Revanth Reddy's 6-Day Tour for Panchayat Elections

Hyderabad: In a strategic move to galvanize party workers ahead of the crucial panchayat elections, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will embark on an intensive six-day district tour starting December 1. The tour aims to bolster Congress cadres and directly connect with voters across multiple regions of the state.

Comprehensive Campaign Schedule

The chief minister's meticulously planned itinerary covers six key districts over six consecutive days. The tour begins in Makthal (Mahabubnagar) on December 1, followed by Kothagudem (Khammam) on December 2. Reddy will then proceed to Husnabad (Karimnagar) on December 3, Adilabad on December 4, Narsampet (Warangal) on December 5, and conclude in Devarakonda (Nalgonda) on December 6.

This extensive tour is strategically aligned with the campaign period for the three-phase panchayat elections scheduled for December 11, 14, and 17 as announced by the State Election Commission. The timing ensures maximum impact on voter sentiment during the critical pre-poll period.

Multi-Pronged Engagement Strategy

During his district visits, the chief minister will undertake a comprehensive program including inaugurating development works, laying foundation stones for new projects, and addressing large public meetings. These engagements will serve as platforms to highlight the Congress government's achievements over the past two years and outline upcoming welfare and development initiatives.

Though panchayat elections for sarpanches and ward members are officially conducted as non-party contests, political parties actively participate by selecting candidates and providing full organizational support. The Congress party is leaving no stone unturned to ensure its candidates receive robust backing.

Strategic Party Meetings and Roadmap

Earlier in the day, Telangana Congress president and MLC B Mahesh Kumar Goud held an hour-long discussion with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to finalize the party's strategy for the panchayat elections. The meeting also assessed the impact of the Praja Palana week, which effectively showcased the government's two-year performance to the public.

A significant meeting of newly-appointed district Congress committee presidents and executive committee members of the Telangana Congress is scheduled with the TPCC chief. CM Revanth Reddy, AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, and AICC secretaries will participate in this crucial session where a comprehensive roadmap will be presented to the new DCC chiefs.

The strategy session will focus on winning the panchayat elections, followed by the MPTC and ZPTC polls, and strengthening the party for upcoming urban local body elections, ultimately building momentum for assembly and Lok Sabha polls.

The chief minister's tour concludes on December 6, just ahead of the Telangana Rising Global Summit beginning December 8 at Bharat Future City, marking a period of intense political and developmental activity in the state.
