The deceased have been identified as Bhanu Pratap Dwivedi, a resident of Bahuara Lakshmipur, and Omprakash Kumar from Mathiya in West Champaran district. Both victims were traveling in the car, which bore a Delhi registration number. The bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, abandoning the damaged vehicles and the injured passengers.
