Cricket has given me everything, and I am grateful to my teammates, coaches, and fans who supported me throughout my journey." Sourav Ganguly, widely regarded as one of India's most successful captains, led the team to numerous historic victories, including the 2002 NatWest Series final and the 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup final. Known for his aggressive leadership and elegant left-handed batting, Ganguly scored 18,575 international runs across formats, including 38 centuries. He also served as the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 2019 to 2022.

He also played a key role in nurturing young talents like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, and Virender Sehwag. The ICC Hall of Fame induction is a fitting tribute to his contributions to the sport.
ICC Hall of Fame Significance
The ICC Hall of Fame, established in 2009, honors the greatest players in the history of cricket. Inductees are selected based on their on-field achievements and impact on the game.
