Rising Cyber Fraud Cases

This incident adds to a growing list of cyber fraud cases in Karnataka. Officials advise never to share card details, OTPs, or passwords with unknown callers. Banks typically do not ask for such information for upgrades.

The victim has been advised to contact his bank to block the card and initiate a chargeback process. Meanwhile, police are working to identify the fraudsters through call records and digital footprints.
