The blockbuster crime thriller Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal, has officially made its way to the OTT platform. Following a successful theatrical run, the film is now available for streaming audiences worldwide.
Amazon Prime Video began streaming the much-awaited thriller from today. The digital premiere comes less than a month after the film's theatrical release on May 21, 2026.
Georgekutty Faces New Threats
The story picks up several years after the events of Drishyam 2. Georgekutty and his family appear to have settled into a relatively normal life. However, the shadow of the past continues to linger over them.
Fresh developments connected to Varun's death reopen old wounds and revive long-standing suspicions. As new questions emerge, Georgekutty once again finds himself caught in a dangerous situation.
Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal Reunite
Drishyam 3 marks another collaboration between Mohanlal and writer-director Jeethu Joseph. The filmmaker returns to conclude the trilogy that began with the first Drishyam in 2013.
Mohanlal reprises his iconic role as Georgekutty, one of the most celebrated characters in Malayalam cinema. Meena returns as Rani George, while Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil once again portray the couple's daughters.
Drishyam 3: Box Office Report
Within its first month, Drishyam 3 reportedly crossed Rs 330 crore in worldwide gross collections.
Alongside its box-office achievements, Drishyam 3 has also sparked conversations about the ethical themes explored throughout the franchise.
Reviewing the film, ETimes wrote, "In a society where several real-life crimes are often compared to the 'Drishyam model,' the glorification becomes disturbing rather than merely cinematic. The franchise unintentionally normalises the idea that intelligence can morally outweigh crime, and that emotional intention can dilute accountability. Georgekutty exists in a morally grey space, but the films repeatedly frame him through sympathy, making the audience root for concealment rather than confrontation of truth. That is perhaps the most unsettling social impact of the franchise."
Meanwhile, Mohanlal was recently seen in Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The movie received mostly mixed reviews from audiences. The film also featured Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban, and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles.
Mohanlal Cooks for His Buddies
In other news, Mohanlal was seen cooking for his friends, showcasing his culinary skills.
