GTA 6: Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick Reveals He Doesn't Play Games

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has shared new details about Grand Theft Auto VI’s gameplay. He recently revealed that he does not personally play video games, but he has seen the game in action. Speaking during an interview at the iicons event in Las Vegas with GameFile (as reported by Rockstar Intel), Zelnick clarified his earlier comments and offered insight into how he evaluates the company’s upcoming titles.

When asked directly whether he had played the game, Zelnick said he is “not a video game player,” a stance he has maintained in past interviews. However, he does not play games himself, but Zelnick explained that he regularly reviews projects through internal demonstrations. Zelnick said, “I don’t play video games,” and added that he has “everything demoed” for him.

When asked how the game looks based on what he has seen, Zelnick did not go into specifics, instead pointing to the official trailer. He described it as “amazing” and said he would “leave it at that.”

Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick Clarifies Comments Around LA Noire

During the same discussion, Zelnick also addressed remarks he made earlier about LA Noire. His previous comments had been interpreted by some as a hint at a new project related to the franchise. Responding to that interpretation, he said, “it was misunderstood as an announcement. I was not doing that.”

Zelnick noted that Take-Two continues to evaluate ways to expand its existing franchises, but did not confirm any specific plans related to LA Noire. Meanwhile, Take-Two continues to say very little about the game, even as excitement grows for GTA 6 ahead of its release.

GTA 6 Release Date and Platforms

Rockstar Games is developing GTA 6, and Take-Two Interactive will publish it. The game is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, first on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version coming later.

Set in Vice City and the state of Leonida, GTA 6 features two main characters, Jason and Lucia, in a current-day plot inspired by social media. It was developed post-GTA 5, starting around 2018.

Gameplay and Pricing Speculations

Information on the gameplay mode remains sparse, but leaks indicate it will feature an interactive environment, enhanced artificial intelligence, and additional activities. The price range has not been disclosed; however, projections predict that it will cost between $70 and $100.
