Ahmedabad: The provisional merit list for first-year degree and diploma pharmacy admissions in Gujarat was released on Friday. Out of 14,418 registered students, 13,461 made it to the list.
Seats and Eligibility
Admission officials confirmed 12,820 seats across 160 pharmacy colleges offering degree and diploma programs. With eligible candidates slightly exceeding seats, most merit list students are expected to secure admission.
Merit List Criteria
The list was based on GUJCET and Class 12 scores. Among shortlisted candidates, 5,639 were boys and 7,822 were girls. Milan Khandhar from the Gujarat Board topped with 99.95 merit marks. Candidates can check their status on the admission committee’s website.
Board-wise and Category-wise Data
Board-wise, 12,049 candidates are from Gujarat Board, 1,223 from CBSE, 84 from ICSE, and 106 from other boards. Category-wise, the list includes 4,539 general, 2,686 EWS, 908 SC, 4,130 SEBC, and 1,198 ST candidates.
Admission Policy
Under current rules, 95% of seats in government and grant-in-aid institutions and 50% in self-financed colleges will be filled via GUJCET merit. The remaining 5% in government institutions will use JEE or NEET scores.
Important Dates
The mock round choice-filling process is open until June 25. Final merit list and mock allotment results will be announced on June 27, followed by regular admission rounds.
