HarperCollins Releases Preeti Shenoy's 'People We Love'

HarperCollins Publishers India has announced the release of 'People We Love', a new collection of short stories by bestselling author Preeti Shenoy. The book offers intimate and relatable portraits of cherished individuals, exploring themes of love, loss, and personal transformation.

About the Book

The collection features prequels to Shenoy's popular novels 'It's All in the Planets' and 'The One You Cannot Have'. Readers will encounter familiar characters before their major story arcs. Aniket, a coder, struggles with unspoken feelings for Trisha. Nidhi leaves her corporate job to teach pottery, finding clay more forgiving than people. A quiz competition sparks a romance between Aman and Shruti, challenged by class differences. Journalist Anjali nearly misses her own life story while chasing others.

Set in contemporary India, the stories delve into the tensions between duty and desire, family and freedom. Shenoy says, 'Writing these prequels felt like returning to a home I hadn't realised I missed.'
