The convocation ceremony for the Signals Officers Degree Engineering (SODE-113) and Technical Entry Scheme (TES-45) courses was held at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow on Friday. Officers were awarded BTech degrees in communication and computer science upon completing their graduation.
Degree Distribution
A total of 40 officers received degrees, including four from friendly foreign countries: Gambia, Vietnam, and Bhutan. The chief guest, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S Krishnan, presented the degrees to the passing out officers.
Chief Guest Address
In his address, Krishnan commended the officers for their sustained hard work and performance. He emphasized the strategic partnership between his ministry and MCTE to harness emerging technologies, strengthen national security, and advance the vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'.
Awards and Honors
Major Krishnapal Singh secured the first prize in the order of merit for the SODE-113 course, while Lt Kapil received the first prize in the TES-45 course. Both were awarded the Chief of Army Staff and Signals Officers-in-Chief trophies, along with gold medals for their achievements.
Induction and Pledge
MCTE Commandant Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi inducted the officers into the engineering fraternity. All graduating officers took a pledge under Deputy Commandant Maj Gen Gautam Mahajan, committing their acquired knowledge to enhance professional effectiveness in their duties.
