University of Rajasthan Eases Admission Process with Student-Led Apps
Rajasthan University Simplifies Admissions with Student Apps

The admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the University of Rajasthan (RU) has become more accessible for first-time applicants, thanks to a combination of official university-led mechanisms and student-driven initiatives. Applications for the 2026-27 academic session opened on Thursday, with a deadline of June 14.

Official Support Systems

To guide applicants, colleges under RU are setting up help desks that assist with filling online forms, provide information on fee payment, available courses, and seat availability. Additionally, helpline numbers and official notices are accessible on the university's website, ensuring that applicants have reliable sources of information.

Student-Led Innovations

Complementing these official efforts, current students have developed free mobile applications to simplify the admission process. Shubham Rewar, a student representative, created an app that offers admission-related details, including hostel availability, merit lists for desired courses, and upcoming deadlines for constituent colleges.

Ankush Bishnoi, a final-year BSc student at Maharaja College, shared his experience: "During my admission, the merit list for my course was not accessible on the college website due to a glitch. I was guided to this student-made application, where I easily accessed the list and received further guidance on proceeding with the admission." Bishnoi is now updating the app with the latest details for the upcoming session.

Krishna Bhambhu, a second-year student at Commerce College, noted: "I heard about this application through social media, and it was very easy to use. I had no guidance and no idea how to proceed, so this initiative proved very helpful."

Comprehensive Support System

These peer-led initiatives help new students settle into university life by providing information on class schedules, course syllabi, and more. By making official information more accessible and understandable, they create a comprehensive support system for students at Rajasthan University.
