Police have since located and are questioning Sunny in connection with the case.

Station House Officer Kuldeep Singh of Khandauli police station confirmed that post-mortem examination results indicated the victim died from strangulation. Authorities are now registering a formal case based on a complaint filed by the victim's family members.
