The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya in Delhi has unveiled an innovative AI-powered holographic display of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The 'AI Holobox' was inaugurated on July 26, 2026, by renowned journalists Rajat Sharma and Ranjan Bhattacharya.

According to India TV News, the AI Holobox uses advanced artificial intelligence and holographic projection to create a lifelike 3D image of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Visitors can interact with the hologram, which responds with pre-recorded speeches and gestures modelled on the former prime minister's oratory style.
Features of the AI Holobox
The display employs 4K laser projection and AI algorithms to recreate Vajpayee's voice and mannerisms with remarkable accuracy. It includes a library of his famous addresses, such as his 1998 nuclear test statement and poetic recitations. The system is voice-activated and can answer questions about his life and policies.
This is reportedly the first such AI-driven holobox in any Indian museum. The technology was developed in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, combining expertise in computer vision and natural language processing.
