Northeast India
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to persist over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura until May 10. The IMD has issued warnings for isolated heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. Such conditions may lead to landslides, low visibility, and waterlogging, affecting road travel and local mobility.
Eastern India
Active weather is anticipated over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Gangetic West Bengal, with heavy rains and thunderstorms. Isolated heavy rain is likely in northern West Bengal and Sikkim. A thundersquall with winds up to 70 kmph is predicted over Gangetic West Bengal on May 9, potentially causing transportation delays.
