MNNIT Foundation, Sankalp Hospital Sign MoU for Healthcare Innovation

Prayagraj: The Innovation and Incubation Hub MNNIT Foundation (IIHMF), promoted by Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sankalp Super Speciality Hospital and Dialysis Center in Prayagraj to promote healthcare innovation, research, skill development and startup ecosystem growth.

Focus Areas of the Collaboration

The agreement focuses on developing healthcare technologies, artificial intelligence-based medical solutions, digital healthcare systems, clinical validation, student internships, training programmes and public health awareness initiatives. Officials said the collaboration will also support startups working in healthcare innovation and strengthen technology-driven healthcare services in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Signing Ceremony and Key Remarks

The MoU was signed by Prof Ravi Prakash Tewari, director of IIHMF, and Devesh Mohan Dixit, managing director of Sankalp Super Speciality Hospital. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Tewari said innovation and research-driven healthcare solutions will play a key role in achieving the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and ensuring better healthcare access for all sections of society.

IIHMF Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ram Kumar Mishra said the incubation centre, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India, has healthcare innovation as one of its major focus areas. He added that IIHMF is currently mentoring startups in digital health, medical technology, artificial intelligence and healthcare research.

Impact on Healthcare Services

Hospital authorities stated that the partnership will encourage advanced healthcare services, research-based medical practices and technology-driven public welfare programmes in Prayagraj and nearby regions.

Additional MoU with School

Another MoU was also signed between SMC School Ghoorpur and IIHMF to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, training and skill development programmes for students.

Officials described the collaborations as an important step towards strengthening innovation-led healthcare and supporting the vision of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and “Viksit Bharat 2047.”
