Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar on Saturday said that the use of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) could have prevented the recent leak of the NEET question paper. Speaking at the launch of 'Technology on Wheels', an initiative of the Sharadchandra Pawar Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence under Vidya Pratishthan, in collaboration with the Sakal Media Group, Pawar emphasized the role of modern tools in safeguarding sensitive processes.

Technology on Wheels Initiative

The 'Technology on Wheels' programme aims to introduce students in rural and remote areas to new avenues of technology. It seeks to bridge the digital divide by bringing hands-on learning experiences to underserved communities. The initiative will deploy mobile vans equipped with AI-based tools, robotics kits, and other tech resources to schools and colleges across Maharashtra.

Pawar's Remarks on NEET Leak

Referring to the recent NEET paper leak controversy, Pawar said, "Use of technology, AI would have averted this situation." He stressed that such breaches undermine the credibility of competitive examinations and affect millions of students. He called for a robust technological framework to ensure the integrity of examination processes.

The partnership with Sakal Media Group aims to amplify the reach of the initiative through media and community engagement. The group's representatives spoke about their commitment to promoting digital literacy and innovation in education.

The launch event took place in Pune, with attendees from various districts. The mobile vans are expected to cover over 100 villages in the first phase, impacting thousands of students.
