Lucknow: A theme-based fantasy park will be developed at Vanasthali Park in Ashiana, with completion targeted by September 2026. The park, modelled on a fantasy theme, will feature interactive robotic models of characters such as dragon, unicorn, cyclops and elephant. Story-based installations inspired by Panchatantra will also be part of the project.
This was informed by Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) officials on Friday. Vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar inspected the site and directed officials to complete the work within the deadline. Senior officials, including chief engineer Manvendra Singh and superintendent engineer Navneet Kumar Sharma, were present.
The project is being developed in Sector-K under the PPP model at an estimated cost of around Rs 12 crore. The park will include 12 life-size sculptures of characters such as mermaid, phoenix, genie, griffin, werewolf and Mowgli, created using recycled materials. Ten robotic installations will also be set up.
A water body with fountain, watch tower and toilet block are also being developed at the site. Separately, Kumar reviewed works at Jyotiba Phule Zonal Park, where development and beautification works worth about Rs 4 crore are nearing completion. An STP has been constructed at the park, and officials have been asked to complete testing and make it operational within a month.
