Honor has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Honor X80 Pro Max, featuring a groundbreaking 11000mAh battery and a 10000-nit AMOLED display. The device was unveiled at an event in Shenzhen, China, on June 23, 2026, positioning itself as a powerhouse for users demanding extreme durability and visual clarity.
Battery and Charging Capabilities
The Honor X80 Pro Max is equipped with an 11000mAh battery, the largest ever seen in a mainstream smartphone. According to Honor, this battery supports 120W wired fast charging, capable of reaching 50% charge in just 15 minutes. Additionally, the phone offers 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging, making it a versatile option for power users. Honor claims the battery can sustain up to 48 hours of video playback on a single charge.
Display and Design
The device sports a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 10000 nits, setting a new industry standard for outdoor visibility. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 1B colors, with HDR10+ certification. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 3 and features an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and its design includes a ceramic back panel with a titanium frame.
Camera System
Honor has equipped the X80 Pro Max with a triple rear camera setup led by a 200MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. This is accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP periscope telephoto lens offering 10x optical zoom. The front camera is a 32MP shooter housed in a punch-hole cutout. Honor says the camera system supports 8K video recording at 30fps and features AI-enhanced night mode and portrait mode.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Honor X80 Pro Max is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone runs Android 16 with Honor's MagicOS 9.0 on top. Honor promises three major OS updates and five years of security patches. The device also includes a vapor chamber cooling system for sustained performance during gaming.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor X80 Pro Max is priced at CNY 6,999 (approximately $970) for the base 12GB+256GB variant, with the top-end 16GB+1TB model costing CNY 8,499 ($1,180). The phone will go on sale in China starting July 1, 2026, with global availability expected later in the year. "This device redefines what a flagship can be, combining unprecedented battery life with a display that shines even under direct sunlight," said George Zhao, CEO of Honor, during the launch event.
