In a tragic incident in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, four women were killed in a tiger attack on Wednesday. According to preliminary information, 13 women had ventured into the forest to collect 'tendu' leaves when the attack took place. The incident occurred in the buffer zone of the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve.

The women, all residents of a nearby village, had entered the forest area around midday. While they were collecting tendu leaves, a tiger suddenly attacked the group. Four women died on the spot, while others managed to escape and alert the authorities. Forest officials and police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
