Injured Peacock Rescued from Giridih Village After Dog Attack

Bokaro: A wounded peacock, struggling for life after being attacked by dogs, was rescued from a village under Mufassil police station limits in Giridih district on Saturday.

Rescue Operation in Budhwadih Tola

The injured bird was first spotted in the backyard of Rajesh Sah, a resident of Budhwadih Tola in Tatokiyari village. As locals informed the forest department, a team reached Sah's home and successfully rescued the bird.

Medical Treatment and Recovery

On Saturday, veterinarian Dr Dheeraj Kumar treated the injured bird. Officials confirmed that its condition has improved after receiving primary care. The peacock is now under observation and is expected to recover fully.

Forester Amar Vishwakarma emphasized the importance of public cooperation in wildlife conservation. "We have urged the people to immediately inform the authorities if they spot any injured or abandoned wild animal or bird so that timely rescue and treatment can save them," he said.
