LCWW Rehabilitation for Vikas Nagar Fire Victims

Lucknow Connection Worldwide (LCWW) has initiated a long-term rehabilitation and support programme for families affected by the devastating fire accident in Vikas Nagar earlier this year, which displaced hundreds of residents. LCWW founder Sunil Misra, along with volunteer teams, visited the affected locality on April 21, May 9, and June 4 to assess the situation and determine necessary support measures. They also contributed generously towards the rehabilitation initiative.

Assessment and Volunteer Efforts

The initial survey team included Vinod Srivastava, Anil Shukla (Jr.), Vibha Shukla, and Pradeep Kumar Shukla. Subsequent interaction and assessment visits were carried out by Neeta Tekwani, Urmil Grover, Mousumi Mallick, Priyanka Vajpai, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Rajeev Saxena, and other volunteers. These teams worked diligently to evaluate the needs of the affected community and coordinate relief efforts.

Distribution of Essential Items

Led by Sanjay Srivastava, LCWW distributed educational materials, stationery kits, sanitary pads, and other essential items among women and children of the affected community. A bicycle was gifted to a girl student to support her education. Additionally, more than 10 children were selected for support covering their school fees, textbooks, notebooks, and stationery. This initiative aims to ensure that the children can continue their education without disruption despite the tragedy.
