The NITI Aayog report titled 'School Education System in India – Temporal Analysis and Policy Roadmap for Quality Enhancement' has recognized Rajasthan's school education initiatives as 'Good State Practices'. The state's health survey and artificial intelligence-based learning programs have been specifically highlighted.
Recognition of State Innovations
According to a release from the chief minister's office, the appreciation from NITI Aayog underscores the exemplary nature of Rajasthan's innovations that integrate education, health, and technology. These practices are considered a model for other states to follow.
Shala Swasthya Parikshan Abhiyan
The report cites the Shala Swasthya Parikshan Abhiyan, a health screening campaign, and an AI-based assessment system implemented under the Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan. These initiatives have played a crucial role in enhancing student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
NITI Aayog noted that Rajasthan's technology-enabled health screening model has strengthened the integration of health and nutrition within the schooling framework, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020. The report reveals that over 75 lakh students were screened across more than 70 health parameters, including vision, hearing, nutritional status, dental health, and physical fitness.
AI-Based Assessment Framework
The report also commends Rajasthan's AI-based assessment framework, which has helped more than 400,000 students address learning gaps. This initiative contributed to an annual improvement of 8% to 10% in learning levels. Additionally, the 'Padhai with AI' program in Tonk district has been cited for its positive impact on subject-wise results, particularly in mathematics.
These initiatives demonstrate how technology and data-driven approaches can transform school education, ensuring better health and academic outcomes for students.
