The body of a seafarer from Uttar Pradesh, who was killed in an attack in the United States, arrived at his native village on Thursday, plunging the family into deep grief. The deceased, identified as 32-year-old Ravi Chaurasia, was working on a cargo ship when the incident occurred.

As the body reached the village, the atmosphere turned sombre, with Chaurasia's parents, wife, and brother breaking down. The family has demanded compensation from the government and urged authorities to investigate the circumstances leading to his death.

Local officials and police personnel were present to receive the body and assist the family. The district administration has assured support and said that they are coordinating with higher authorities to ensure necessary action.
