The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that both maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to increase further, with predictions of 37°C and 21°C respectively for Tuesday.

According to the IMD, an upper cyclonic circulation persisted over the northeast Arabian Sea and the adjoining Gujarat coast on Monday. The state forecast indicates a very likely increase of 3-5 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures over the next three days, accompanied by a rise of 2-3 degrees in minimum temperatures within the next 48 hours.
