Ahmedabad Weather Update: Temperature Dips Slightly, Rain Forecast for Gujarat

Ahmedabad experienced a partly cloudy sky on Tuesday, with the maximum temperature recorded at 36.7°C, which is 1.6 degrees below the normal level for this time of year. This marks a slight decrease from Monday's maximum of 37.6°C. On the other hand, the minimum temperature was 27°C, registering 5.1 degrees above normal and higher than the 26.5°C recorded on the previous day.

IMD Forecast and Weather Patterns

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ahmedabad is likely to see temperatures in a similar range on Wednesday. The forecast indicates that a fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect northwest India starting from April 2. For Gujarat, the state forecast predicts no significant change in maximum temperatures over the next 48 hours, followed by a gradual fall of 2-3 degrees. Minimum temperatures are expected to remain stable with no large variations.

Across Gujarat, maximum temperatures have shown a dip. Vadodara recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37°C, followed by Ahmedabad and Amreli at 36.7°C. Other notable readings include Gandhinagar at 36.4°C, and Rajkot and Surat at 35.8°C. This trend reflects a broader cooling pattern in the state, influenced by the upper-air cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan.

The IMD continues to monitor the situation closely, advising residents to stay updated on weather changes and prepare for potential rainfall in the coming days.
