Gurgaon Sees Temperature Rise as Haryana Records Above-Normal Heat
According to the latest data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Gurgaon recorded a maximum temperature of 26.4°C on Friday. This marks a notable increase of 0.6°C compared to Thursday's reading, indicating a gradual warming trend in the city.
Temperature Trends Across Haryana
The IMD's comprehensive analysis reveals that average maximum temperatures across Haryana have surged by 1.4°C when compared with Thursday's figures. More strikingly, these temperatures are now 2.3°C above the normal range for this time of year, highlighting a significant deviation from typical seasonal patterns.
Among the districts, Palwal emerged as the hottest spot in the state, registering a scorching 29.9°C. It was closely followed by Charkhi Dadri at 27.5°C and Rohtak at 25.3°C. Several districts within the National Capital Region (NCR), including Faridabad and Rohtak, also reported daytime temperatures that exceeded normal levels.
Nighttime Conditions and Fog Reports
In Gurgaon, the minimum temperature settled at 13°C, which is slightly higher than the previous day but still maintained cool nights for residents. Across Haryana, minimum temperatures saw an average rise of 0.7°C, yet they largely remained within the expected normal range.
The weather office documented dense to very dense fog in various parts of Haryana. Narnaul experienced very dense fog, while isolated areas reported dense fog conditions. This phenomenon resulted in significantly reduced visibility during the early morning hours, particularly affecting southern regions of the state.
Weather Forecast and Rainfall Outlook
Meteorologists from the IMD have indicated that the current weather pattern, characterized by warm afternoons and cool nights, is likely to persist in the coming days. Importantly, no weather systems are anticipated to bring rainfall to Gurgaon or any other part of Haryana in the near future.
Additionally, the IMD confirmed that no rainfall was reported in Gurgaon or elsewhere in the state over the past 24 hours, underscoring the dry conditions prevailing across the region.
