Indore Weather Update: Cloudy Skies and Rising Temperatures Mark Tuesday
The city of Indore continued to experience dynamic weather patterns on Tuesday, characterized by partially cloudy skies and a noticeable increase in night temperatures. The day commenced with bright sunshine, but by the afternoon, cloud cover gathered, resulting in intermittent sunshine and overcast conditions that persisted throughout the day.
Temperature Fluctuations and Wind Patterns
The shifting sky cover contributed to slightly unstable temperatures during the daytime. According to meteorological data, the maximum temperature reached 31.4 degrees Celsius, which is one degree above the normal seasonal average. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature rose to 14 degrees Celsius, aligning closely with the seasonal norm, up from 12.6 degrees Celsius recorded on Monday.
North-easterly winds dominated the region, with speeds reaching up to 15 kilometres per hour. These winds played a role in the day's weather variability, influencing the cloud movements and temperature readings.
Thunderstorm Alert and Rainfall Predictions
Meteorological officials have indicated the possibility of light thunderstorms affecting parts of the region during the afternoon hours. Brief spells of gusty winds and isolated rainfall are also anticipated in Indore. Weather scientist Arun Sharma highlighted the likelihood of light drizzle occurring on Wednesday, adding to the unsettled conditions.
An alert has been issued for rainfall, thunder, and lightning across 18 districts in the state, urging residents to stay cautious and prepared for sudden weather changes.
Western Disturbance and Future Forecast
Met officials noted that a weak western disturbance expected around February 26 is unlikely to have a direct impact on Madhya Pradesh. While minor fluctuations in temperature may occur, no significant or widespread change in weather conditions is anticipated from this system.
Over the next two to three days, the weather in Indore is expected to remain largely normal and relatively dry. However, a gradual rise in daytime temperatures is likely thereafter, which may increase the feeling of warmth during the afternoon hours, signaling a shift towards warmer conditions.
