Jharkhand Weather Forecast: Light Rainfall Expected in Four Northwestern Districts
The Ranchi office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather update for Jharkhand, predicting specific conditions across the state. According to the forecast released on Tuesday, residents in certain regions should prepare for precipitation and temperature changes in the coming days.
Rainfall Predictions for Northwestern Jharkhand
Four districts in the northwestern part of Jharkhand—Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, and Latehar—are likely to experience very light to light rainfall on Wednesday. This isolated precipitation is expected to be confined to these areas, while the remaining parts of the state are anticipated to have dry weather conditions.
In addition to the rainfall, shallow fog and mist are likely to be experienced during the morning hours, potentially affecting visibility and daily routines. The IMD advises caution for early morning travelers and outdoor activities.
Temperature Trends and Forecast
The minimum temperature across Jharkhand is expected to show notable fluctuations in the coming days. IMD scientist Abhishek Anand from Ranchi explained that the minimum temperature is likely to witness a rise of 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next two days. However, this increase will be followed by a decline of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the subsequent three days, indicating a period of temperature variability.
This forecast comes as various locations across the state have already been experiencing a rise in minimum temperatures over the last few days. The recent temperature data reveals interesting patterns:
- Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 11.6°C on Tuesday, representing a 1.9°C increase from the normal level.
- Jamshedpur experienced a minimum temperature of 14.7°C, which is a significant 3.2°C rise above the normal minimum.
- Daltonganj recorded 10.7°C, showing a 0.8°C increase from the normal temperature.
- Bokaro and Chaibasa recorded minimum temperatures of 12.2°C and 12.4°C respectively, with neither location experiencing any increase from normal levels.
