Youth Shot Dead in Jhajjar Village Over Old Rivalry

A young man was allegedly shot dead in Subana village of Jhajjar district late Tuesday evening, in an incident believed to be linked to an old rivalry, the police said. The deceased was identified as Hitesh alias Gullu, a resident of the village.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, Hitesh was standing outside his house when three to four unidentified youths arrived in a Bolero vehicle and opened indiscriminate fire on him. Witnesses claimed that the assailants fired more than 20 rounds before fleeing the scene. Hitesh sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Possible Motive

Initial investigation suggests that the murder may have stemmed from an old dispute between the deceased and the accused. Sources said that around two years ago, a clash reportedly took place between both sides, and the latest attack is suspected to be connected to that rivalry.
