Lebanese President Joseph Aoun held talks on Friday with Army Commander General Rudolf regarding the security situation in the country, particularly in southern Lebanon, as Israeli attacks continue. Israeli Military Operations

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the discovery of weapons facilities in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon, which they said belonged to Hezbollah. In a post on X, the IDF stated: "LOCATED: Weapons facilities in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon, containing launchers, machine guns, explosive devices, missiles & additional weapons belonging to Hezbollah. IDF soldiers dismantled the facilities & the weapons found inside them, which were intended to be used against IDF soldiers & Israeli civilians."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that Israeli forces would remain in Lebanon as long as necessary. He also issued a stern warning to Iran, stating that "the war is not over yet" and that Israel is preparing for all potential scenarios. Speaking at the Israeli Air Force graduation ceremony, Netanyahu emphasized that preserving aerial capabilities is key to national defense and that Iran will not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

Regional Tensions

These developments occur amid heightened regional tensions following the breakdown of the Washington-Tehran truce. US President Donald Trump declared the truce "over" and dismissed further diplomatic engagement with Tehran as "a waste of time" after mutual military strikes between the US and Iran.
