The Indian Army's Assam Regiment, along with INS Tarkash and INS Ikshak, marched in the parade. The Army contingent performed the regimental song 'Badlu Ram Ka Badan'. PM Modi expressed gratitude to President Patrick Herminie and shared images of the event.

Strengthening Maritime Cooperation

On the sidelines, PM Modi met with Leader of the Opposition Bernard Georges and Mauritius PM Navinchandra Ramgoolam. With Georges, he reviewed the India-Seychelles partnership and appreciated broad-based political consensus. With Ramgoolam, discussions focused on the Enhanced Strategic Partnership, including infrastructure projects under the Special Economic Package, capacity building, maritime defense, green energy, and cyber security.

Earlier, PM Modi addressed the National Assembly of Seychelles, expressing gratitude for the hospitality and emphasizing institutional partnership rooted in democratic values. He interacted directly with lawmakers, reinforcing long-term bilateral cooperation.
