Clinton Camp Hits Back as Epstein Files Release Features Ex-President's Photos
Clinton Camp Responds to Epstein Files Photo Release

The release of a new batch of documents from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation has sparked a political firestorm, with former US President Bill Clinton featuring prominently in several photographs. The images, made public by the US Justice Department on Friday, December 19, 2025, have drawn a sharp response from Clinton's camp, which insists the ongoing probe is not about the former president.

Photos Prompt Swift Rebuttal from Clinton Spokesperson

Following the document dump, which included multiple pictures of Clinton with the late convicted sex offender but contained little reference to former President Donald Trump, a spokesperson for Bill Clinton issued a strong statement. Angel Urena accused the White House of strategic timing, suggesting the files were released late on a Friday to manage the news cycle.

"The White House hasn't been hiding these files for months only to dump them late on a Friday to protect Bill Clinton," Urena stated. He argued that the move was instead an attempt at self-preservation by the current administration. "This is about shielding themselves from what comes next, or from what they'll try and hide forever," he added.

"This Isn't About Bill Clinton": A Firm Denial

Urena was unequivocal in distancing Clinton from the core of the investigation. "So they can release as many grainy 20-plus-year-old photos as they want, but this isn't about Bill Clinton. Never has, never will be," he asserted. In his remarks, he even referenced Susie Wiles, a senior adviser to Donald Trump, noting that she had previously stated Trump was wrong about allegations concerning Clinton.

The spokesperson framed the issue around two distinct groups of people associated with Epstein. "There are two types of people here. The first group knew nothing and cut Epstein off before his crimes came to light. The second group continued relationships with him after. We're in the first," Urena claimed, positioning Clinton in the category of those who severed ties early. He concluded, "No amount of stalling by people in the second group will change that."

Unfolding Story with Political Undertones

The release of these documents, part of the long-running investigations into Epstein's sex trafficking network, continues to have significant political ramifications. The selective highlighting of Clinton's associations in this latest trove, contrasted with the minimal mention of Trump, has intensified debates about the motivations behind the document disclosures.

As the story develops, the focus remains on the contents of the Epstein files and the reactions they elicit from high-profile figures named within them. The public and media scrutiny is expected to continue as more details potentially emerge from the Justice Department's archives.
