Patna: The state government held a coordination meeting with leading industry bodies on Saturday to boost industrial growth, improve the investment climate, and address sectoral challenges. Industry Minister Shreyasi Singh chaired the meeting, where stakeholders emphasized infrastructure strengthening, policy reforms, and better ease of services for investors.
Meeting Participants
The meeting, facilitated by BIADA and IDA secretary-cum-MD Kundan Kumar, saw participation from the Bihar Industries Association (BIA), Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Director of Industries Mukul Kumar Gupta delivered the welcome address.
Key Discussions
Discussions focused on industrial development, investment promotion, tackling industry concerns, and enhancing support systems for investors. Industry representatives shared feedback and suggestions, with officials deliberating on follow-up action.
Minister's Statement
Singh said, “The state is committed to building a competitive and investor-friendly ecosystem. Such coordination meetings will be held every 30–45 days to ensure regular dialogue and faster resolution of issues.”
Official Assurance
Kundan Kumar said the department is working towards providing transparent, timely, and seamless services to investors, adding that regular engagement with industry bodies will help boost investment, employment, and industrial growth.
Senior officials from the industries department, BIADA, and IDA, along with Director of Handloom and Sericulture Vidyanand Singh, were also present.
