BD India and HOPE Foundation Upskill Youth for Sustainable Livelihoods
BD India and HOPE Foundation Upskill Youth

BD India/South Asia, in partnership with the HOPE Foundation, has been working for eight years to upskill young adults from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The initiative focuses on providing skill-based training in Nursing Assistant and Tally operating computer skills, primarily in East Delhi. Recently, the program celebrated its eighth anniversary by felicitating 264 graduates who completed these courses.

Program Expansion and Impact

Building on the success of the past eight years, BD and the HOPE Foundation have committed to a ninth year of collaboration. The new phase will train 320 youth in Nursing Assistant, Tally, and a newly introduced Advanced Excel plus SQL course. This expansion aims to broaden employability pathways for participants.

Since its inception in 2018, the program has trained over 2,200 students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, with more than 80 percent of beneficiaries securing employment. A significant number of these beneficiaries are women, highlighting the program's role in promoting gender equality in the workforce.
