BharatCares (CSRBOX), in partnership with IndiGoReach, the corporate social responsibility arm of IndiGo, is executing "Giving Wings to Fly," a national initiative aimed at empowering women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue professional careers in aviation and become industry-ready commercial pilots.
Program Overview
The program is implemented by BharatCares under the Shri Mahakal Education and Charitable Trust (SMEC). Selected candidates will undergo pilot training at Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA), a DGCA-approved Flying Training Organisation (FTO). The initiative is designed to create access to structured aviation training, mentorship, and career pathways for young women aspiring to build professional careers in India's rapidly growing aviation sector.
As India experiences significant growth in civil aviation and an increasing demand for skilled professionals, the program aims to bridge the gap between aspiration and access. It supports young women who possess talent, determination, and ambition to build careers in aviation but face financial and social barriers.
