Heritage Foods MD Nara Bhuvaneswari Addresses TTD Laddu Allegations with Quality Assurance Statement
In Vijayawada, Heritage Foods, a company founded by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu approximately three decades ago, has taken legal action against individuals making allegations that linked the firm to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) laddu issue. Following this, the company's Managing Director, Nara Bhuvaneswari, who is also the wife of the Chief Minister, issued a detailed statement outlining the stringent quality measures implemented by Heritage Foods to ensure product safety before delivery to consumers.
Commitment to Quality and Growth
Bhuvaneswari emphasized that Heritage Foods has always upheld its core values and maintains the highest standards of quality control. She highlighted the company's remarkable journey from a modest start with Rs 4 crore to becoming a Rs 4,000 crore enterprise, attributing this growth to winning the trust of over 3 lakh farmers. "Every product from Heritage undergoes 25 rigorous quality tests, with 500 experts continuously monitoring these processes," she stated, underscoring the company's transparency and openness to scrutiny.
Political Turmoil and Legal Response
The controversy erupted when the opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) alleged that Heritage Foods, through its associate company Indapur Dairy, supplied adulterated ghee to TTD for use in laddus. Heritage Foods has firmly denied these claims, clarifying that it has never supplied ghee to any temple and that Indapur Dairy operates solely as a contract manufacturer with no formal ties to Heritage.
In response to what it describes as malicious intent to tarnish its reputation, Heritage Foods filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. The court has since directed all platforms to remove content targeting the company, marking a significant legal development in the ongoing dispute.
