Infosys Wins Three Contracts Worth $325 Million, Boosts Deal Pipeline
Infosys Secures $325M in Three Contracts

Bengaluru: Infosys has secured three large contracts with a combined value of $325 million, strengthening its deal pipeline as enterprises focus on cost optimization, vendor consolidation, and AI-led transformation initiatives.

Largest Contract with Volvo Cars

The largest of the three is a contract with Swedish automaker Volvo Cars, estimated to be worth around $170 million, according to industry sources. Sources indicate that roughly half of the deal comprises net-new business, while the remainder involves consolidation of existing engagements. The scope includes IT infrastructure services, SAP platform modernization, and broader digital transformation initiatives. Under this engagement, Infosys is expected to play a strategic role as a digital transformation partner, deploying AI-led solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline business processes across Volvo Cars' technology landscape.

Volvo Cars already counts HCLTech among its strategic engineering services partners. The expanded partnership with HCLTech covers end-to-end engineering services delivered from its automotive center of excellence in Gothenburg and global offshore and nearshore delivery centers. Last year, TOI reported that HCLTech was seeking to retain its position in Volvo Group's $1-billion outsourcing contract, which had come up for renewal, with Infosys emerging as a key challenger. Emails sent to Infosys and Volvo Cars did not elicit a response till press time.

Contract with Valmet

Infosys has also won a contract from Valmet, the Finnish engineering and technology company. Industry sources estimate the deal value at around $100 million. As part of this engagement, Infosys will modernize Valmet’s core IT services to enhance operational efficiency and enable closer alignment between IT operations and business priorities.

Contract with Hong Kong Jockey Club

Additionally, the Bengaluru-based firm reportedly secured a $51 million contract from the Hong Kong Jockey Club, one of Hong Kong's largest non-profit organizations and the operator of horse racing and betting activities in the territory.

Strategic Transformation Focus

According to documents reviewed by TOI, Infosys' five-year roadmap for one of the engagements focuses on expanding its role from a traditional IT services provider to a strategic transformation partner. The plan envisages a shift from time-and-materials contracts to outcome-based engagements, greater use of SLA-driven performance metrics, participation in business and IT transformation initiatives, vendor consolidation, and the expansion of global delivery capabilities through offshore and nearshore centers.

The three wins together strengthen Infosys' large-deal momentum and underscore growing client demand for transformation programs that combine operational efficiency, platform modernization, and AI-driven innovation.
