MC Deploys Engineers to Monitor Parking Lots Revenue

The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has deployed engineering staff to monitor paid parking lots, aiming to plug revenue gaps and ensure full daily collection. This decision follows an internal assessment revealing that parking lots are not generating expected revenue.

Deployment of Junior Engineers

Junior engineer rank officers have been assigned to oversee paid parking lots across the city. They will conduct regular visits to identify and rectify any anomalies. These officers will submit periodic reports to senior officials, keeping them informed about the actual situation of the parking facilities.

One-Pass Facility Boosts Revenue

Since the introduction of the one-pass facility on January 27, in collaboration with a private bank, the civic body has seen a consistent increase in revenue. This growth applies to both online one-time pass collections and overall revenue from paid parking lots, including manually issued slips.
