Reliance Consumer Products Secures Majority Stake in Australian Beverage Firm Goodness Group
In a significant strategic move, Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) division of Reliance Industries Limited, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Goodness Group Global Pty. Ltd. (GGG), a prominent Australian 'Better-For-You' beverage business. This acquisition marks RCPL's formal entry into the Australian consumer goods market, reinforcing its commitment to delivering global-quality products at affordable prices.
Strategic Partnership and Market Expansion
Under this newly formed strategic partnership, RCPL will leverage its extensive supply chain and distribution capabilities to promote Goodness Group's flagship healthy beverage brands, including Nexba and PACE, across new markets, with a particular focus on India. PACE is a hydration brand co-created with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins, adding a sports-oriented dimension to the portfolio.
This collaboration is poised to strengthen RCPL's efforts in developing a robust health-based beverages portfolio, solidifying its position as a rapidly emerging global FMCG player from India. RCPL has already established a presence in key international markets such as the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, and boasts a strong portfolio of healthy beverages like RasKik & Sun Crush juices, zero-sugar carbonated soft drinks, and the herbal-natural beverage brand Shunya.
