Honda Unveils Special Edition Shine 125 with Premium Design Elements

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched a new special edition variant of its highly popular 125 cc commuter motorcycle, the Honda Shine 125. Named the Honda Shine 125 Limited Edition, this new model aims to attract buyers looking for enhanced aesthetics while maintaining the reliable performance of the standard Shine 125.

Pricing and Market Positioning

The Honda Shine 125 Limited Edition carries an ex-showroom price tag of ₹86,211. This positions it slightly above the regular variants of the Shine 125, which are available in two configurations: a drum brake version priced at ₹80,852 and a disc brake variant costing ₹85,211. The limited edition commands a premium of approximately ₹1,000 over the disc variant, offering exclusive styling features for that marginal increase.

As a company holding approximately one-fourth of India's vast two-wheeler market, Honda anticipates a significant sales boost with this launch. The special edition is strategically introduced to cater to customers seeking distinctiveness in the competitive commuter motorcycle segment.

Exclusive Design and Color Scheme

What sets the Honda Shine 125 Limited Edition apart is its unique visual appeal. The motorcycle features an exclusive Pearl Siren Blue color scheme, which presents a sophisticated dark blue finish across the body. Complementing this are distinctive brown graphics adorning the fuel tank, creating a striking contrast.

Further enhancing its premium character, Honda has equipped the limited edition with Pyrite Brown colored alloy wheels. These design elements collectively elevate the motorcycle's appearance, making it stand out from the regular Shine 125 models and giving it a more upmarket feel.

Unchanged Mechanical Specifications

Despite the visual enhancements, the Honda Shine 125 Limited Edition retains the same mechanical components as its standard counterpart. Powering the motorcycle remains the proven 123.94 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 10.6 bhp of peak power and 11 Nm of maximum torque.

The braking system continues to feature a 240 mm disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, both integrated with Honda's Combined Braking System (CBS) for improved safety during braking maneuvers. This ensures that while the limited edition offers aesthetic upgrades, it maintains the reliable performance and efficiency that has made the Shine 125 a favorite among Indian commuters.

The launch of the Honda Shine 125 Limited Edition represents the manufacturer's strategy to offer varied choices within its popular model lineup, allowing customers to opt for enhanced styling without compromising on the trusted mechanical package that has established the Shine 125 as a segment leader.
