Two brothers die in Tripura family feud, mystery surrounds one death

Agartala: Two brothers died after a late-night fight linked to a long-running family feud in Fultali village in Tripura’s Unakoti district, police said. The incident took place on Friday night in Kailashahar. The deceased were identified as Nilabdha Sinha and Mayur Chand Sinha, who lived in the same house.

According to sources, the brothers had been in dispute over family matters for an extended period, and the argument escalated into violence. During the quarrel, Mayur Chand Sinha allegedly attacked his elder brother, Nilabdha Sinha, with a sharp-edged weapon, stabbing him in the abdomen. Nilabdha collapsed at the spot with critical injuries.

Police said Mayur Chand Sinha then collapsed moments later near his brother’s body and died under mysterious circumstances. The exact cause of Mayur’s death remains undetermined and is currently under investigation.
