Jeep India Unveils Exclusive Meridian Track Edition SUV

Jeep India has officially launched the limited-run Jeep Meridian Track edition in the Indian automotive market. This new variant is based on the Overland trim and introduces a comprehensive suite of exterior and interior enhancements, positioning it as a premium offering for SUV enthusiasts.

Pricing and Availability

The Jeep Meridian Track edition is offered in two distinct variants: the Track edition AT and the Track edition AT 4x4. The ex-showroom prices are set at Rs 35.95 lakh and Rs 37.82 lakh, respectively. Interested customers can book this SUV either online or by visiting their nearest Jeep dealership. Deliveries are anticipated to commence shortly, making it a timely addition to Jeep's lineup.

Exterior Design Upgrades

The exterior of the Meridian Track edition receives significant styling updates. Key features include Piano Black accents on the grille, badges, and body mouldings, complemented by 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. A Dark Espresso grille with Neutral Grey highlights adds a sophisticated touch, while a signature hood decal and Track Edition badging ensure it stands out on the road.

Interior Refinements

Inside, the cabin follows a cohesive design theme with a Dark Espresso and Spruce Beige interior scheme. This is enhanced by Tupelo stitching and quilted upholstery for a luxurious feel. A Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel and Track Edition graphics further differentiate the interior, creating an upscale ambiance.

Enhanced Features and Technology

The Meridian Track edition is packed with advanced features, including:

  • A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • A 9-speaker Alpine audio system for superior sound quality
  • Wireless charger, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay connectivity
  • Dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof
  • Powered and ventilated front seats for enhanced comfort

Additionally, the SUV features a manually sliding second-row seat with a 60:40 configuration. The larger portion can move back and forth by up to 130mm, while the smaller section offers slightly greater travel of up to 140mm, improving passenger space and versatility.

Safety and Performance

Safety is a priority in the Meridian Track edition, with features such as:

  1. Level 2 ADAS for advanced driver assistance
  2. A 360-degree camera for better visibility
  3. ABS with EBD and six airbags
  4. Hill hold assist, traction control, TPMS, and an electric parking brake

Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged, powered by a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine that delivers 170 hp of power and 370 nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic, and it retains 4x4 capability with multiple terrain modes and a low-range mode for off-road adventures.

This launch underscores Jeep India's commitment to offering premium, feature-rich vehicles tailored to the evolving demands of Indian consumers.
