Pricing and Variants Details

The e-Vitara will be available in three distinct variants: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Each variant comes with two battery pack options, providing flexibility for buyers. The pricing, as per ex-showroom rates, is structured as follows:

  • Delta variant with 49 kWh battery: Priced at Rs 15.99 lakh.
  • Zeta variant with 60 kWh battery: Priced at Rs 17.49 lakh.
  • Alpha variant with 60 kWh battery: Priced at Rs 19.79 lakh.

Additionally, the top-spec Alpha variant offers a dual-tone colour option for an extra Rs 22,000. Maruti Suzuki is also enhancing the ownership experience by providing a complimentary 7.4 kW AC charger with free installation, adding value for early adopters.

Battery-as-a-Service and Booking Information

For customers seeking more flexibility, the e-Vitara is offered with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option at a base price of Rs 10.99 lakh, accompanied by a battery EMI of Rs 3.99 per kilometer. Owners opting for this model will benefit from free charging of up to 1,000 units or for one year, whichever comes first, at Maruti Suzuki dealership charging points accessible via the ‘e for me’ app.

Interested buyers can pre-book the e-Vitara either online or at their nearest dealership with a booking amount of Rs 21,000. Deliveries are expected to commence shortly, though official confirmation from Maruti Suzuki on the complete pricing details for all variants is still pending, with reports suggesting information has surfaced through dealership documents.

Technical Specifications and Performance

The e-Vitara features two battery pack options: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh unit, both utilizing LFP (Lithium Iron-phosphate) ‘blade’ cells sourced from BYD. The 49 kWh battery is paired with a single front-axle motor delivering 144 horsepower, while the larger 61 kWh battery also uses a single motor but boosts output to 174 horsepower. Both configurations produce an identical torque of 189 Nm.

In terms of range, the 49 kWh battery offers a claimed 440 km on a single charge, whereas the 61 kWh version extends this to an impressive 543 km, making it a strong contender in the electric SUV segment.

Design and Dimensions

Design-wise, the e-Vitara draws inspiration from the eVX concept, showcasing a muscular and modern aesthetic. Key exterior elements include tri-LED daytime running lights, a closed-off grille, and a front bumper reminiscent of the Brezza with integrated fog lamps and skid plates. The charging port is strategically placed on the front flanks, and the vehicle features aerodynamically designed 18-inch alloy wheels with rear door handles on the C-pillar.

At the rear, connecting taillights, an integrated spoiler, and e-Vitara lettering add to its distinctive look. Dimensions are substantial, with a length of 4,275 mm, width of 1,800 mm, height of 1,635 mm, and a generous wheelbase of 2,700 mm. It boasts 180 mm of ground clearance and a kerb weight of up to 1,900 kg.
