In a significant move to bolster the traditional Kondapalli artisan community, The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) based in Vijayawada has entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kondapalli Arts and Crafts Society. This landmark agreement aims to provide comprehensive support for the preservation and global promotion of the region's iconic wooden toys and crafts.

The MoU was ceremoniously exchanged between RTIH Vijayawada CEO G Krishnan and Kondapalli Arts and Crafts Society president Udayagiri Surya Prakash. The event was graced by the presence of NTR district collector Dr G Lakshmisha, who underscored the partnership's alignment with broader governmental initiatives.

The primary goal is to modernize Kondapalli crafts while meticulously preserving their rich cultural heritage, ultimately positioning them for global recognition and market success.
Additional Strategic Partnership for Startup Ecosystem
In a parallel development on the same day, RTIH Vijayawada further strengthened its commitment to regional economic growth by signing another MoU with AP Chambers. This agreement specifically targets the enhancement of the startup and MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.
The second MoU was exchanged between RTIH Vijayawada CEO G Krishnan and AP Chambers President P Bhaskara Rao, with district collector Lakshmisha again presiding over the ceremony. This collaboration will focus on several key areas including incubation services, expert mentorship programs, improved market access, investor connectivity, resource sharing, awareness campaigns, outreach activities, and vendor engagement initiatives.
Together, these dual partnerships represent a comprehensive strategy by RTIH Vijayawada to support both traditional artisan communities and modern entrepreneurial ventures, creating a balanced approach to economic development that honors heritage while embracing innovation.
