The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) organised a Mega Job Fair 2026 at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on Friday, claiming to provide opportunities to thousands of young job seekers who participated in the event.
Participation and Offers
According to Varun Pandey, national chairman of the IYC media department, around 150 companies, including Tata AIA, Flipkart, Zepto, Voltas, Tech Mahindra, Paytm, Aditya Birla Group, Hitachi, and Urban Company, conducted interviews during the fair. More than 9,000 youth registered offline, and approximately 7,000 candidates received on-the-spot job offers. Many others were shortlisted for further rounds of recruitment.
Leadership Statements
IYC national president Uday Bhanu Chib stated that unemployment remains the biggest challenge facing India’s youth and that the party is working on a vision of ‘Jobs, Justice and Accountability’. He emphasised that the job fair was an effort to create employment opportunities and respond to the aspirations of young people.
Members noted that the overwhelming turnout reflected the aspirations of a generation seeking opportunities and meaningful employment. They added that the youth, frustrated by paper leaks and cancelled examinations, now seeks change.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devendra Yadav and other senior functionaries were present on the occasion.
