Residents in several key areas of Bengaluru should prepare for scheduled power interruptions this weekend. The electricity supply authority has announced maintenance work that will lead to temporary outages in parts of Whitefield and Soladevanahalli on Saturday and Sunday.
Whitefield Area Power Interruption Details
The power supply in and around Whitefield will be affected on Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A significant number of layouts, apartments, and roads are included in this scheduled outage. The affected localities encompass a wide zone, including prominent residential and commercial spots.
The list of impacted areas in Whitefield is extensive. It includes Belathur, Kumbena Agrahara, Patalamma Layout, and VSR Layout. The outage will also cover Kadugodi, Channasandra, Siddartha Layout, and Sai Ashrama. Further, residents in Kaithota, Dinnur, GK Layout, and Maithri Layout will experience no electricity.
Several apartment complexes are on the list, such as Alembic Apartments, Marvel Apartments, Prestige Mayberry Apartments, Adarsh Palm Meadows, Brigade Cosmopolis Apartment, and Goyal Orchid Lakeview Apartment. Key roads like Swami Vivekananda Road, Whitefield Main Road, ECC Road, and Borewell Road are also included.
Other affected layouts comprise Nagondanahalli, Nagaraj Layout, Prashanth Layout, Upkar Layout, Prithvi Layout, Naidu Layout, Bhyrappa Layout, and Vinayaka Layout. The areas around Karumariappa Temple Street, Bhuvaneshwari Road, Rustumji Layout, Hagadur, Vijayanagar, Gandhipuram, Dommarapalya, and Sumadhura Apartments will face disruptions too.
Soladevanahalli Area Weekend Outage
For the Soladevanahalli region, the power cut is scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. This planned maintenance will impact a broad cluster of villages, layouts, and institutions on the city's outskirts.
The outage will affect Hesaraghatta, Tharabanahalli, and Hurulichikkanahalli. Areas like TB Cross, Bilijaji, Dwarakanagar, and Chikkabanavara are also included. Residential layouts such as Maruthi Nagar, Ganapathi Nagar, Shanthi Nagar, Raghavendra Layout, Bajjappa Layout, and Shivakumarswami Layout will be without power.
The impact extends to Guddadahalli, Dasenahalli, Hosahalli Palya, and Danish Farmhouse. Institutions like the KMF dairy and IIHR (Indian Institute of Horticultural Research) fall within the zone. Villages including Guniagrahara, Mediagrahra, Somashettihalli, Ganigarahalli, and Kereguddadahalli are on the list.
Other localities facing the two-day power cut are KT Pura, Linganahalli, Madappanahalli, Kalenahalli, Mavallipura, and Kondashettihalli. The schedule also covers Madhugirihalli (listed again), Kurubarahalli, Kumbarahalli, Silvepura, Pakegowdanapalya, Raghavendra Dhama, Byalakere, and Achuth Nagar. The outage will affect Pipeline Road and Krishna College Road as well.
