BPSSC Releases Bihar Police SI Mains 2026 Result and Cut-off

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has officially declared the result for the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Mains Examination 2026, conducted under Advertisement No. 05/2025. Along with the result, the commission has also published the category-wise cut-off marks for candidates who appeared in the examination.

Candidates who have secured marks equal to or above the prescribed cut-off in their respective categories have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process. The qualified candidates will now have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which is mandatory for final selection.

Result and Cut-off Details

The commission released the result after evaluating the performance of candidates who cleared the preliminary examination. Along with the list of shortlisted candidates, BPSSC has also published the official cut-off marks for different categories.

The cut-off marks vary across categories based on factors such as the number of candidates, vacancies, and performance in the examination.

  • Unreserved (UR): Male - 134.00, Female - 116.20, FFW Men - 100.00, FFW Women - 104.00
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Male - 127.40, Female - 109.60, FFW Men - 100.40, FFW Women - 100.00
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): Male - 114.40, Female - 87.00, FFW Men - 116.80
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): Male - 109.80, Female - 92.80
  • Other Backward Class (OBC): Male - 129.20, Female - 110.00, FFW Men - 100.20, FFW Women - 103.00
  • Extremely Backward Class (EBC): Male - 126.80, Female - 105.40, FFW Men - 99.80
  • Backward Class Women: 107.60
  • Transgender: 65.80

PET Round is the Next Hurdle

With the Mains result now out, shortlisted candidates will move to the Physical Efficiency Test. The PET is qualifying in nature, and candidates must clear it to remain in the recruitment process. For male candidates, the test includes a 1.6-kilometre run that must be completed within six minutes. Female candidates will have to complete a one-kilometre run within five minutes.

Candidates are advised to start preparing for the physical test in advance. They should also keep their admit cards and required medical documents ready for verification during the PET process. The BPSSC result and cut-off list are now available through the commission's official result document released for the recruitment examination.
