The University of Delhi (DU) has witnessed a strong response to its first round of postgraduate (PG) admissions, with more than 10,000 candidates accepting their allotted seats. According to the latest update released on Friday, a total of 11,548 seats were allocated in the first round for two-year PG programmes, out of which 10,393 candidates accepted their offers.
Fee Payment Deadline Approaching
The university has reported that 7,831 candidates have completed their fee payments as of Friday evening. Additionally, 1,983 applications have been approved by the respective Heads of Departments (HoDs). DU has reminded candidates that the deadline for fee payment is 11:59 pm on Friday, June 19, making it a crucial date for applicants to secure their seats.
Law Admissions Progress
Admissions to the five-year integrated law programme are also advancing. DU has confirmed 104 admissions after the completion of the first and second rounds of seat allocation. The university has announced that the third round of law admissions will commence on June 22.
B.Tech Admissions Update
For B.Tech programmes, the registration process concluded on June 18, with the university receiving 3,620 applications. Candidates who have already registered can make corrections to their application forms through a correction window, which is open from June 19 until 4:59 pm on June 20. DU has further announced that the first B.Tech admission list will be released on June 24, marking a significant milestone in the undergraduate engineering admission process.

With thousands of students finalising admissions across various programmes, the university expects further movement in seat confirmations as fee payment deadlines and subsequent allocation rounds are completed.
