A six-day faculty development program kicked off on Monday at Government Engineering College Buxar. The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre from IIT-Patna organized this initiative in collaboration with BEC Buxar.

Inaugural Ceremony Highlights
The opening ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ritual. Principal Ram Naresh Rai of BEC Buxar performed this ceremony alongside other distinguished guests.
T N Singh, Director of IIT-Patna, served as the chief guest for the event. He addressed participants through an online platform, emphasizing several crucial aspects of modern education.
Singh highlighted the importance of innovation in teaching methodologies. He advocated for research-oriented learning approaches and stressed continuous professional development for educators. The director firmly stated that teachers hold a pivotal position in building the nation's future.
Principal's Address and Program Details
Principal Ram Naresh Rai spoke to the assembled gathering about the program's significance. He explained how such initiatives strengthen the teaching-learning process substantially. Rai encouraged all participants to engage actively throughout the program sessions.
Ninety faculty members are participating in this development program. Seventy attendees are present physically at BEC Buxar, while twenty participants are joining virtually from various other institutions.

Sanjoy Kumar Parida, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at IIT-Patna, serves as the program convener. He clearly outlined the objectives of this faculty development initiative during the inauguration.
The program coordination involves Ajay Kumar Yadav from IIT-Patna and Santosh Kumar from BEC Buxar. These coordinators are managing the logistical and administrative aspects of the six-day event.
Additional Dignitaries and Conclusion
Paridhi Rajiv, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at IIT-Patna, attended the inaugural ceremony. Her presence added academic weight to the proceedings.
