Karamat Husain College Celebrates Academic Excellence at Annual Awards Ceremony
Karamat Husain Muslim Girls' PG College in Lucknow organized its annual award ceremony on Wednesday to honor meritorious students for their outstanding academic achievements. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including College Manager Syed Naved Ahmad, Principal Prof Huma Khwaja, and Chief Guest Mumtaz Ahmad, a former IAS officer.
English Department Awards
In the English department, Azra Fatima received the prestigious Syed Shuaib Ahmad Trophy and a scholarship for securing the highest marks in English in the M.A.I program. Similarly, Ramsha Imtiyaz was awarded the same scholarship for achieving the highest marks in English in B.A. III.
History Department Honors
The History department saw multiple recognitions. Gunja Yadav and Ravina Singh were conferred with the Governor's Running Trophy and the Dr. Nasreen Ahmed Memorial Gold Medal for obtaining the highest marks in medieval and modern history in B.A. III.
Additionally, the Dr. Nasreen Ahmed Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Rahil, Ravina Singh, and Sunaina Kashyap, as well as Anchal Chaurasiya, Daniya Idrisi, and Hooma Bano for their top performances in medieval and modern history.
For history in B.A. I, the Nasreen Ahmed Memorial Scholarship was presented to Kajal Yadav, Anchal Chaurasiya, Laxmi Kashyap, Hafsa Quraishi, Fariya Khan, and Muskan Ansari.
Urdu Department Achievements
In the Urdu department, Umme Hani and Sadiya Parveen were honored with the Prof Shamim Nikhat Memorial Urdu Gold Medal and Scholarship and the Umme Habiba Memorial Urdu Gold Medal and Scholarship, respectively, for securing the highest marks in Urdu in B.A. III.
Further scholarships included the Prof. Shamim Nikhat Memorial Scholarship for the highest marks in Urdu across B.A. I, II, and III, awarded to Nuzhat Jahan and Ilma Khan, and the Begum Nuzhat Kidwai Memorial Scholarship for the highest marks in Urdu in B.A. I and II, given to Zainab Rukhsar and Nuzhat Jahan.
Education Department Recognition
In the B.Ed Department, Iffat Ansari and Bushra Inayat were recognized with the Laiqun Nissan Shafiq Memorial Gold Medal and Scholarship for their meritorious performance.
The ceremony highlighted the college's commitment to fostering academic excellence and encouraging students to strive for higher achievements in their respective fields.
