MHT CET 2026: Key Updates on Registration and Exam Schedule
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released crucial updates for candidates preparing for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026. In an official notice, the authority has announced significant modifications to the registration process and examination timelines to accommodate applicants facing technical challenges.
Aadhaar Authentication Flexibility Introduced
The State CET Cell has acknowledged that numerous candidates are encountering difficulties during the Aadhaar and APAAR authentication phases of the MHT CET 2026 registration. To prevent eligible students from missing application opportunities, a temporary relaxation has been implemented.
While Aadhaar authentication remains the preferred verification method, candidates who cannot complete this process due to technical issues are now permitted to submit their application forms without it. This facility will be available starting February 13, 2026. However, applicants who can successfully authenticate via Aadhaar are strongly encouraged to follow the standard registration procedure.
Extended Registration Deadlines for Multiple Courses
The State CET Cell has also revised the application deadlines for several key courses, providing additional time for prospective students. The new last date for submission is February 20, 2026, for the following programs:
- MHT CET 2026 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)
- MHT CET 2026 Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master of Management Studies (MMS)
Revised Examination Schedule for PCM and PCB
The examination dates for MHT CET 2026 PCM and PCB streams have been confirmed as follows:
- First Attempt: April 6 to April 8, 2026
- Second Attempt: May 9, 2026
Updates for MHMCT and MCA Programs
Application deadlines have been extended for additional courses as well. Candidates applying for Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (MHMCT) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) must submit their forms by February 18, 2026. The examination dates are set for March 25, 2026, for MHMCT and March 30, 2026, for MCA.
